Two Displays, One Seamless Experience
Closed, the iPhone Duo’s 5.4-inch outer Super Retina XDR display delivers around 90% of the screen area of the iPhone 18 Pro — compact enough for comfortable one-handed use. Open it up, and a 7.6-inch inner display unfolds — the largest screen Apple has ever put in an iPhone, offering 50% more screen area than the iPhone 18 Pro Max. Both displays share the same aspect ratio, so your content scales seamlessly as you open and close the device. A custom nano-texture finish and specialized micro lens texture work together to minimize glare and make the fold crease nearly invisible, while still feeling premium to the touch.
Engineered to Fold, Built to Last
At the heart of the iPhone Duo is a precision-engineered hinge made from more than 100 tiny components, holding the display perfectly flat when open and delivering a smooth, satisfying feel with every fold. The frame is crafted from machined and polished grade 5 titanium, with Ceramic Shield on the back and Ceramic Shield 2 on the front. When fully open, it’s the thinnest iPhone Apple has ever made. The device also carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
A Camera System Built for a Foldable World
The dual-camera system includes a 48MP Fusion Main camera and a 48MP Ultra Wide camera with 2x optical zoom. A new under-display FaceTime camera sits beneath the inner screen for a true all-screen feel. Features like Smart Take help make sure no one misses being in the photo, while Dual Capture and Duo FaceTime let you share both front and rear camera feeds at once — camera experiences only possible thanks to the Duo’s dual-display design.
Power Built for Demanding, All-Day Use
Powered by the A20 Pro chip — the same advanced 2-nanometer processor found in the iPhone 18 Pro lineup — paired with a custom vapor chamber for effective heat management, the iPhone Duo delivers serious performance for gaming, multitasking, and on-device AI. A dual-battery system, designed around both halves of the device, delivers up to 31 hours of video playback using the inner display, or up to 44 hours using the outer display.
An iOS Experience Reimagined for Foldables
iOS 27 has been reimagined for the Duo’s dual-screen design — supporting Split View multitasking, hands-free FaceTime, StandBy mode without charging, and layouts that adapt fluidly as you open, close, or angle the device. Essential controls sit within thumb’s reach on the sides of the display, and a smarter, more conversational Siri understands personal context to help with everyday tasks.
Secure, Simple Unlocking
Rather than Face ID, the iPhone Duo introduces Touch ID built directly into the side button — with the option to unlock using a paired Apple Watch as well.
